National Missions Offering
Sunday, April 20th
The WMU National Missions focus for 2008 will be Camp WO-ME-TO. The facilities of the camp are used to nurture the spiritual development of children and adults by increasing appreciation and responsibility for God’s world and encouraging participation in missions. Camp WO-ME-TO comprises nearly 150 acres of hills and woodlands in Harford County, Maryland. It is owned and operated by the Women’s Missionary Union of Maryland/Delaware. Many UBC children and adults have attended summer camp there and have found it a very rewarding experience. Our church has always supported this good work.
We are pleased that the current resident manager, Frank Ulmer, will be our guest speaker on National Missions Sunday. A luncheon will follow worship in Heaver Hall. All are invited, reservations are not required. At that time, Frank will tell us about the camp and its many activities, and he will be available to answer questions. At the conclusion of his presentation, the National Missions offering will be taken.
